Chamber Music America has just given out $392,000 to 12 jazz ensembles through one of its flagship commissioning grant programs, New Jazz Works.
The national network for ensemble music professionals announced the grant recipients this week. The New Jazz Works program, supported by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, provides grants to U.S. jazz ensembles to create, perform and, if desired, record new works.
