Internationally acclaimed artist Michael Kaeshammer has surprised fans with a musical trip to his home of Vancouver Island, releasing a new album Live in Concert this month.
Recorded at the Charlie White Theatre in Sidney, B.C., the live set was first aired in March as an hour-long special called Boogie on the Blues Highway on American Public Television. Now, the show is available for all on CD and DVD.
“Sidney is where I do much of my writing, and I just love the summers there,” Kaeshammer said of his hometown. “It was such an inspiring setting for these very special concerts, and I’m excited to share the experience with everyone.”
With a sound that weaves together jazz, blues, classical, pop and boogie-woogie, the six-time Juno-nominated singer, songwriter, pianist and producer showcases his signature style and “must-see” live act throughout the 11-song set.
